American Jazz Museum: Hailes Live at the Blue Room (2025)
Client: American Jazz Museum
Location: Kansas City, MO
Production: HELLOVNO
American Jazz Museum celebrates the history and cultural impact of jazz, with a special focus on Kansas City’s influential role in shaping the genre. Located in the historic 18th & Vine Jazz District, the museum features interactive exhibits, artifacts, and stories honoring legends like Charlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, and Louis Armstrong.
Assignment:
Reimagine the American Jazz Museum as a destination for a new generation. Need a partner who can attract a younger audience to the historic institution.
Involvement:
Understanding the Museum’s history, I brought a culturally relevant live music experience to the Museum’s Blue Room by curating a performance from Kansas City native singer and songwriter, Hailes. Applying my refined live events experience and digital marketing strategy, I drove up engagement for the artist and the Museum by 326%. Additionally, I secured and handled the concurrent press run: FOX4, KCTV-5, NPR, KKFI 90.1 FM.
Achievements:
The live event sold out in 48 hours, which is a proud accomplishment! Driving new energy, engagement, and foot traffic while honoring the Museum’s legacy, I completely packed out the room! As a Kansas City native, myself, it was such an honor to oversee the success of this project and earn a trusted parter at the American Jazz Museum.
